The Sansar Store allows content creators to share their original content, letting other people use their creations to enhance their Sansar worlds. As a content creator, you may sell content on the Sansar Store for Sansar dollars (S$). This article describes how to list and edit an item in the Sansar Store.
The Store Listing Guidelines aim to help creators list items effectively so that buyers can quickly and easily find what they're looking for. To help promote an enjoyable experience, creators must adhere to these guidelines when listing items on the Sansar Store.
Please make sure to review the Store listing Guidelines prior to creating a listing.
To get started with selling an item in the store, you must first create a listing from an item in your inventory. To create a listing:
Choose Create > Build Worlds from the main menu to open the My Worlds panel.
In the My Worlds panel, click Edit scene on one of your existing worlds. If you do not have any existing worlds, you can create one by following the guide for Creating a world.
While editing the world, upload the item that you want to sell in the Sansar Store. If you need help uploading an item, see our article on Uploading content in Sansar.
Set the filter on the Inventory panel to Created to view your uploaded items. Find the item you want to sell in the store.
Right-click the item you want to sell and choose Sell item.
A dialog with the message, "Create a listing for [your item name]" appears. Click Create Listing to create a listing on the Sansar Store.
A dialog with the message, "Open web browser to finish listing your item?" appears. Click Go to Web to edit your listing in your web browser.
Note: You can only list items that you have uploaded to Sansar. You cannot list items that you have purchased from the Sansar Store.
To get started with selling clothing or accessories in the store, you must first create a listing from an item in your Lookbook. To create a listing:
Open the Lookbook from the App Launcher.
Select an avatar and click Customize.
Click the Clothing or Accessories tabs to view your clothing or accessories.
Right-click a clothing or accessory item you have uploaded, then choose List item.
You cannot list default items or items that you have purchased from the Sansar Store.
Once you have created a listing for your item, you can give it a store title, set a description, set a price, and upload images that showcases that item. The Edit Listing page also allows you to save changes to your listing's information, delete the listing, and make the listing publicly visible in the store.
Before you start editing your listing, please make sure that your listing and its information is compliant with the Store Listing Guidelines.
To begin editing your listing:
Go to the Sansar website.
Log into your account.
Click the icon to open a drop down menu.
Click Manage Listings to see a list of all of your items that are listed and unlisted in the Sansar Store.
Click on the item name, image, or the Edit button under More Options to start editing the listing that you want to edit.
In the Edit Listing page, fill the fields to provide information about your item. See Store Listing Guidelines for more information on each field.
Save your changes, if needed.
Once you are happy with the information and you are ready to make your item publicly visible in the Sansar Store, click the checkbox beside This item is listed and publicly visible in the store and then, click the Save Changes button.
Alternatively, you can also check List this item and make it hidden in the Sansar Store to create a hidden listing that is not searchable in the store. Only users who have access to the link can access the item's details page to view information or download the item.
Note: Listings are not visible in the store until you check the box for This item is listed and publicly visible in the store and click the Save Changes button.
You may occasionally need to update your listings in the Sansar Store with updated, corrected, or improved versions of the same item. You can do this without creating a new listing, which means any existing links to your listing are preserved.
As of September 3, 2019, updating an existing listing with a new item is supported for the following items only:
Scripts (can be updated without restriction)
All avatar-related items (avatars, rigged clothing, MD clothing, rigged hair, emotes, accessories) (can only be updated once IF the listing is originally an avatar 1.0 listing, avatar 2.0 listings cannot be updated)
To update an existing listing in the Sansar Store:
In the avatar editor or scene editor, upload the new item that you want to use to replace your existing item. It is helpful to give the item a different name or version number to distinguish it from the original item.
If the item is an avatar-related item, make sure that the inventory item has a thumbnail image.
Find the new item you want to sell in the store, then right-click it and choose Replace store item.
In the Store Product ID to Update panel, enter the listing's 36-character item number or the URL of the store listing page. You can use either the store listing page URL or the Edit Listing page URL. Then, click Continue.
A confirmation panel appears. Click Yes, edit listing to edit the listing in your web browser, or No, I'm done to dismiss the confirmation panel with no further action.
Your store listing now sells the updated version of the item.
Note: Previous customers must choose Redeliver from their purchase history in order to receive a copy of the updated item.
We no longer charge sellers a transaction fee for each sale made in the Sansar Store. The Store transaction fee was removed as we switched over to a fixed conversion rate. For more information on the change and fees that apply, see:
